With a lust for pure escapism being one of my many vices, my mind wanders off to a blissful time of sunshine, family and friends - Our Wedding Day. 08.01.11 was the day we became Mr and Mrs B and although not a travel tale as such, my time with Mr B has certainly been one of my most rewarding journeys to date.
Many girls dream of their wedding day from an early age - for me, having a love of all things to do with entertaining, venue dressing and event planning - it was more a case of which of the many perfect days that I have dreamt up should we have!

Everything they tell you is true - the day goes too fast, your appetite wanes, your cheeks hurt from smiling, and magic moments can be lost if you don't take part. I took on all the advice I had given brides over the years. Take a deep breath before the ceremony find your calm and enjoy, escape with your new husband to relish in your delight... even if only for 5 minutes, let go of the detail, only you know what should happen today and allow yourself to be a guest you have worked hard - enjoy it.
Speaking of the detail the photos provide long lasting memories of all the elements we brought together to celebrate all of the things we love about New Zealand. Elegant centrepieces were inspired by summer and the beach, river rocks were adorned with names of our favourite beaches and acted as table names, hand crafted touch stone favours bore delicately etched native fauna, candle light glistened, the head table was flanked by a Tapa cloth making me think of my grandmother and our families heritage - and the menu brought together all of our favourite bites in one amazing meal.We recently celebrated our 1st anniversary with a London city escape (we love being tourists in our adoptive home) with our accommodation taking a prime view of St Paul's Cathedral, we relished in our time alone, and recalled with the fondest of memories a celebration of all that we are and all that we will be, whilst being surrounded by so many of our loved ones.
I, like many girls, could live that day all over again... and again.
