February 09 - Snow, weddings and birthdays

Our North African adventure seems an age away, with work and school commitments keeping us busy.
Snow day hits London on 2nd February, our world stops, we made our first ever snowman who was adorned with potpourri eyes and colourful hat. An excuse to bake, have snow fights, watch movies, and enjoy a guilt free day off work.

Many Londoners battled the dysfunctional transport system over the following days, but instead of grumpiness being the mood of the season, the snow brought out the child in everyone. Neighbors gleefully regaled their Snow Day stories, while strangers smiled and acknowledged one another. Needless to say that mood didn’t last long.

The remainder of February saw my cousin Lisa and her now husband Chris marry in Samoa on Valentines Day. Another family occasion missed, and one we would have loved to have been at. Paige turned 15 - she gleefully welcomes every birthday while I sit and ponder where has the time gone, and then realise I had better snap out of it, to avoid her life racing me by.
